A pre-workout is a type of gym supplement. They’re designed to boost energy levels and help you focus before you begin your workout. In short, pre-workouts help you push yourself for longer. They come in many forms, such as tablets, shakes, and ready-made shots, but most come in powder form that you add to water.
As the name suggests, pre-workout should be taken before a workout. Ideally, a pre-workout would be taken 30-60 minutes before you begin your workout.
It should take between 60-90 minutes for your pre-workout to kick in.
The effects of a pre-workout should last between 1-2 hours. This can vary depending on ingredients.
